What is the installation process of the cam splitter?

Return Release Date:2025-04-28

Cam splitter is a mechanism that achieves intermittent motion, with significant characteristics such as high indexing accuracy, smooth operation, large torque transmission, self-locking during positioning, compact structure, small volume, low noise, good high-speed performance, and long service life. It is an ideal product to replace traditional mechanisms such as groove wheel mechanism, ratchet mechanism, incomplete gear mechanism, and pneumatic control mechanism.

1、 Installation of the body

(1) The splitter is subjected to pulsating load torque and is installed very firmly.

(2) Correct the position of the input and output shafts, add positioning pins, and evenly tighten the screws.

(3) Confirm if there is any damage to the installation surface of the splitter. If there is any damage, use an oilstone to repair it.

(4) The splitter is a high-precision segmentation mechanism obtained through precision machining and correct assembly adjustment. Users are not allowed to adjust, disassemble, or assemble without authorization before use.

Due to the high verticality or parallelism of the installation surface of this splitter with respect to the input and output axes, the installation surface of the equipment must ensure that the input and output axis directions of this splitter are coaxial with the required input and output directions of the equipment. Cannot be skewed or eccentric. Otherwise, not only will it affect the output accuracy, but it will also seriously damage the splitter. Because at this point, the splitter is in an abnormal force state.

2、 Installation of input and output shafts

The connection related to the input and output shafts of the splitter should have good rigidity in the direction of rotation, no reverse impact, and stable rotation.

Attention should be paid when installing rotary tables, sprockets, pulleys, gears, flanges, and other connections on the input and output shafts of the splitter.

(1) The input and output shafts, as well as their extended rigid shafts, should not be arbitrarily erected and should undergo sufficient Z-center adjustment.

(2) Do not strike with a hammer or make unreasonable impacts. To avoid damaging the cam and needle roller bearings inside the divider.

(3) When installing machining parts, accessories, fixtures, and tools, eccentricity or step errors relative to the workbench should be eliminated through instrument detection and adjustment.

(4) The input and output shafts are precision machined to H6 level, and the aperture is precision machined to H6 level, which is ideal for pressing. Here, it is necessary to avoid the fit of holes and axis up and down JI deviation. The key connection cannot be too loose.
